A Bittersweet Farewell From Cheryl Stern, Co-President of CBA Sisterhood
As I enter my final month as Co-President of Congregation Beth Am Sisterhood, my heart is full — with pride, gratitude, and a touch of bittersweet emotion. Over the past few years, I’ve had the incredible privilege of watching our Sisterhood blossom — much like the trees and flowers in spring — vibrant, rooted, and full of life. What began as seeds of connection and shared purpose has grown into a strong, nurturing community of women, non-binary, and gender fluid individuals committed to learning, giving, and growing together. Now, it is time for me to step aside and pass the reins to someone I deeply admire and trust — my Co-President of the last three years, Marci Kops. Marci’s dedication, creativity, and unwavering commitment have been vital to the success of our Sisterhood. More than that, our partnership has blossomed into a cherished friendship that I know will last a lifetime. I am confident that under her leadership, our Sisterhood will continue to thrive and inspire. While I may be stepping down from this role, I am not stepping away from service. I’m honored to share that in March 2026, I will be installed as Co-President of the WRJ Heartland District — the very district our Sisterhood is proudly a part of. The Heartland District spans 14 states and includes nearly 60 Sisterhoods. I look forward to continuing to serve, support, and advocate for women’s voices and Reform Jewish values across our region. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this beautiful journey. Thank you for your trust, your friendship, and your shared passion. I carry the spirit of CBA Sisterhood with me as I move forward, and I hope you’ll continue to lend your voice, your energy, and your heart to this special community.

With deep appreciation and love,
Cheryl SternCo-President, Congregation Beth Am Sisterhood
