A Message from Rabbi Bellows

December 28, 2025 /9 Tevet 5786
Dear Friends,
Although the secular and Jewish New Year’s are celebrated in far different ways, there are similarities in how we approach another year. We reflect on the past and strive to create a better year for ourselves, the Country, and the world! Towards this end, we might ask ourselves questions while on the cusp of a new year! I hope you will enjoy these 7 questions writer Jancee Dunn asks in her New York Times article, 7 Questions to Ask Yourself for a Happier New Year.
- When did you feel the most joyful and carefree?
- What gave you energy — and what drained it?
- What seemed impossible — but you did it anyway?
- What habit, if you did it more consistently, would have a positive effect on your life?
- What did you try to control that was actually outside your control?
- Is there anyone you need to forgive in 2026?
Wishing you and your loved ones a happy, healthy, peaceful, and joyful 2026!
